II. Full Cooperation Process

1. Source of Contact

The client is a medium-sized building materials wholesaler based in Germany, mainly engaged in electrical and plumbing supplies for home decoration. Referred by our Dutch partner with whom we have cooperated for three years, the client checked product parameters and CE certification documents on our foreign trade website. They visited our booth and inspected samples on site at the 2025 Cologne International Hardware Fair, then launched formal business negotiations. The client planned to update its existing socket product lines and replenish inventory for supermarket sales.

2. Core Procurement Requirements

• All products comply with EU CE safety standards, fit Germany’s 230V/50Hz power grid, and the flame-retardant housings meet EU fire safety regulations.
• Residential sockets adopt minimalist matte panels that match the opening size of German standard recessed boxes. Commercial sockets are equipped with dual Type-A + Type-C fast charging ports.
• Sockets for kitchens and bathrooms are rated IP54 for dust and water resistance, suitable for humid bathrooms and kitchens in Germany.
• Goods will be delivered in three batches, with the first shipment finished within 45 days. Products can be printed with the client’s brand logo, together with German user manuals and product test reports.

3. Cooperation Difficulties & Solutions

Local safety and specification compliance Germany has stringent requirements on the thickness of copper components, plug life and flame retardant performance of sockets. Our conventional products failed to pass VDE tests. We customized thickened phosphor bronze conductive strips and adopted imported flame-retardant PC materials. After rectification and tests by a third-party laboratory, we obtained all required compliance certificates within 28 days.

Dimension adaptation The opening size of German standard recessed boxes is different from Chinese standards. We manufactured new molds for panels and adjusted the buckle structure to ensure a perfect fit with common recessed boxes used in Germany.

OEM and customized packaging The client required fully German printed color boxes and silk-screened brand logos. We coordinated with the packaging manufacturer to update designs. Products were packed by individual SKUs and divided into residential and commercial categories to avoid sorting errors in the warehouse.

Phased production against tight lead time We arranged dedicated production lines to prioritize the first batch of orders. Sampling tests including power-on inspection, plug performance and flame retardant tests were conducted for every batch during production to keep the defective rate under strict control.

4. After-sales Service & Maintenance

After the goods arrived at the port, our local agent in Germany assisted with warehouse receiving and random inspection. We set up exclusive product files and kept test reports of all batches. The products come with a 6-month quality warranty. Free replacement of accessories is provided for non-artificial quality issues. We conduct monthly online follow-ups on inventory and market feedback, offer professional technical support and share information of new product samples regularly.

5. Client Feedback

After the products were put on sale, sales volume in supermarkets and home decoration channels exceeded expectations. The switches operate smoothly, and the failure rate of fast charging sockets is far lower than that of local similar products. The client commented that our product quality, complete certifications and customized services are superior to other Chinese suppliers. They confirmed to place fixed quarterly reorders every year, and have recommended our products to two building materials traders in Austria and Switzerland.
